Private & honest

Built on trust — for them and for you.

Grace only works when everyone feels good about it. Your parent is never tricked, never pressured, and always knows who they're talking to. Here's exactly how we handle the calls, the memories, and your family's privacy.

Your parent agrees

Your parent starts with a short hello. Grace explains everything, then asks — and a simple “yes” is all it takes. Nothing to install, nothing to sign.

Honest

Grace tells your parent she's an AI companion. She never pretends to be a person, never claims to be a nurse or a doctor, and never poses as family.

Delete anytime

Conversations stay private, and we never sell your family's data. Ask us to delete stored calls and account data anytime — we keep only the limited records that document the service.

Consent happens on one short hello call

To start, Grace explains that she's an AI companion, the chosen schedule and notes, that this short hello is not shared with the family as an audio recording, that Talk Society keeps the written record of it as the record of their agreement, that all future companion calls — the ones she makes and any your parent makes to her — are recorded and transcribed, and that the family member gets a summary and can listen or read those call records. Your parent then simply says yes. A verified agreement starts the calls at the time the family chose, and the first 14 days are free — the card isn't charged until 14 days later. There is nothing to sign or install. If they're not ready, nothing starts and you're not charged; they can call back later.

The short agreement hello is not shared with the family as an audio recording. Talk Society keeps the written transcript of that hello as the record of the agreement, so what was explained and what your parent said is preserved in their own words. When a decision is recorded, that record also includes the decision, when it was made, and the verified disclosure results. For a verified agreement, it also includes the consent-session reference and a keyed audit attestation that the spoken agreement was verified. If your parent agrees, companion calls in both directions — the calls Grace places and the calls your parent places to her — are recorded and transcribed so she can remember past chats and your family can stay close; you can listen to those recordings or read those transcripts at any time. Your parent can ask Grace to pause the calls whenever they like — and you can ask us to delete any stored companion call — at any time.

What we remember, and why

Grace remembers the little things — the garden, the grandkids' names, last week's doctor's visit — to make the next call feel like catching up instead of starting over. We use service providers to process the calls, and the family member who set up the plan receives the promised summary and can access companion-call recordings or transcripts after consent. We do not sell those details or use them for advertising. You can ask us to delete stored call data.

The call text and the gentle heads-up

After each call, you get a short, warm text: how your parent sounded and a little of what they talked about. It's a way to stay close on the busy days when you can't call yourself.

And if something seems off — a low mood, a worry that keeps coming up, a few missed calls in a row — we'll let you know so you can check in. Think of it as a caring signal from someone who talks with your parent on the schedule you chose, not a diagnosis.

Grace is companionship, not care. She is not a medical device, a monitoring system, or an emergency service, and she can't call for help. If your parent needs urgent help, always call 911 or their doctor. Grace keeps them company and keeps you in the loop — that's the promise, and we keep it honest.
